Bhubaneswar: Transport department has started an awareness and training programme on Road Safety in schools in Bhubaneswar.
Transport officials said that four NGOs have also been roped in for the programme. “All 104 schools of BMC, Bhubaneswar Block and Jatni will be covered within a month. We have provided proper training to the NGOs for this and our officers will also remain present during the programme,” said Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Bhubaneswar II, S.K Behera.
Transport officials said that materials like sound system, multimedia projectors and flex wall charts on traffic signage have also been provided for the programme. “The trainers have also been asked to distribute prizes to the students,” said an official.
