Tiger census in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary in Odisha begins

The tiger census in the Tiger reserve of Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary has begun on Wednesday, said reliable reports in this regard. 

Balasore: The tiger census in the Tiger reserve of Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary has begun on Wednesday, said reliable reports in this regard.

Tiger census began today at Kuldiha Sanctuary. In addition, the forest department is studying the movement of wild animals in five forest ranges in the Balasore Forest Division.

Tigers are being counted by 42 forest staff in 14 beats in the Nilgiri’s Kuldiha Reserve. Teams have also been deployed to monitor the movement of the tigers. This counting will continue for a stretch of five days from today till 30 October, 2023.

Similarly, more than 250 forest personnel have been deployed in a total of 52 beats of Balasore division to monitor the movement and presence of musk deer in Nilgiri range, Soro, Jaleswar and Chandipur range.
