Koraput: A teacher working in the office of the District Education Officer (DEO) allegedly committed suicide in the residence of the latter today.
The deceased identified as Chitta Panda was found hanging in the residence of the DEO. Sources said that the DEO was not present in his residence when the incident took place.
As per reports, Panda a teacher posted with the Chikambo Nodal School in Dasmantpur was deputed the office of the DEO for past six years.
The wife of the deceased, however, suspect that her husband might have committed suicide after few important files of the DEO’s office went on missing. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
