Simulia BDO Biswaranjan Mohanty found dead in official residence, suicide suspected

Though the exact reason behind the death of Biswaranjan Mohanty is yet to be known, it is suspected that he committed suicide as his body was hanging inside his official residence and the door of the house was locked from inside.
Sources said that Mohanty went to his office by 11 AM but left the office soon for some unknown reason and went to his official residence. As he did not return to the office, some of the employees reportedly went to his residence to inquiry about him. They repeatedly called the BDO and soon informed the police after not getting any reply from him.
A team of cops from the Simulia Police station rushed to the spot, broke open the door and found the BDO’s body hanging. They seized the body and sent it for postmortem. Further probe is underway to ascertain under what circumstances he took the drastic step.
