Rain, thundershower alert to these districts of Odisha within next 3 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday predicted light to moderate thundershower with lightning in 11 districts of Odisha.

There will be moderate rain and thundershowers in some parts of Koraput, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundergarh, Puri, Bhadrak, Khurda, And Cuttack Including Bhubanswar And Cuttack city during next three hours.

People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from the lightning strike.

Notably, the Meteorological Department has informed that heavy rains are expected in 13 places in the state today. Yellow warnings have been issued to all the districts for today for an isolated thunderstorm with lightning.

The 13 places include Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur.
