Rain brings relief from forest fires; Forest department personnel dance in joy

The forest department personnel of Odisha were finally relieved after the rainfall have abated the forest fires in different parts of state.

Similipal: The forest department personnel of Odisha were finally relieved after the rainfall activities triggered by the western disturbance have abated the forest fires to a large extent in different parts of the state. Some were even seen dancing in joy and thanking god for the rain.

Several parts of the state received moderate rainfall and thunderstorm for the past couple of days due to the western disturbance. This rain has helped the forest department personnel who were seen struggling to contain the wild forest fire that has irrupted in various areas of the state.

The forest department personnel of  Rangamatia beat forest department staff under the Bangiriposhi rangethanked the rain God and could not control their emotions and started dancing.

Major parts of the Similipal National Park were caught on wild fire and the rain had certainly improved the overall scenario.

Expressing joy, a forest department personnel Samai Soren said, “I am happy that it rained. Now there will be no more forest fire for next one month. We were not getting leaves and now we can finally take a leave and spend some time with our family members.”

The forest department staff in Umerkote was also seen dancing after it rained in the region yesterday. The visuals of the dance by them have also gone viral on social media.
