Bhubaneswar: Police commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi today felicitated woman athlete Anupama Swain who qualified for 2022 Asian Games by winning a bronze medal in the recently concluded World Martial Arts Mastership Jiu-Jitsu.
Sarangi today felicitated Swain who is currently posted as a police constable in Bhubaneswar Urban Police District at the Commissionerate Headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
Jiu-Jitsu is a form of martial art and combat sport and it puts the entire focus on grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting. A versatile sportsperson, Anupama Swain had won gold medal at the Asian Powerlifting Championships in 2017.
