Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices have hiked again for the sixth consecutive day in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar on Monday. Today, the petrol price in Bhubaneswar has been recorded at Rs 108.55 per litre while the diesel price has been recorded at Rs 105.07 per litre. While on Sunday, the Petrol and diesel costs were recorded at at Rs 108.19 and Rs 104.68 per litre respectively.
The petrol rates has increased by 36 Paise and diesel cost has risen by 39 Paise in the last 24 hours. The continuous rise in fuel prices have distressed consumers as it has become difficult to bear the fuel expenses in their daily budget.
All major cities of Odisha has registered petrol price above 100 and the rate of petrol in Malkangiri district has been recorded to be the highest in the state at Rs 113.78 per litre. The other major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Jaipur and other cities has also recorded the petrol price above Rs 100 including Rs 104.52 in Chennai, Rs 108.11 in Kolkata and Rs 113.46 in Mumbai.
The diesel price in various cities are Rs 100.59 in Chennai, Rs 99.43 in Kolkata and in Mumbai the rates have crossed above Rs 100 mark at Rs 104.38.
