Parlakhemundi ACF death: 5-member police team reaches Bolangir, begins investigation

Bolangir: A five member team of Parlakhemundi police has reached Bolangir and has begun investigation in the mystery death case of Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra.

The team will conduct a probe into the alleged bachelor party incident and other aspects at the Livestock Inspectors Training Centre (LITC) where Bidyabharati, the wife of the deceased ACF, was studying.

On the other hand, the Gajapati Superintendent of Police gave clean chit DFO Sangram Keshari Behera, the cook Manmath Kambha and Gurandi Police Station OIC Mamta Panda.

Saumya Ranjan was rescued in a half-charred state at his government quarters in Paralakhemundi on July 12. He succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack on July 13.
