Bhanjanagar: In an unfortunate incident, a person was killed and pillion rider sustained critical injuries after the bike they were travelling hit roadside pole near Singipur village under Gangapur police limits in Ganjam district.
The deceased person has been identified as Rajendra Charchi, a native of Nimina village.
Report says, the accident took place when the rider of the bike lost control over his bike and hit the roadside pole. Following which he died on the spot and other person sustained critical injuries.
On seeing this, some locals immediately rushed the injured to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Later, the police was informed about the accident. Probe is underway.
