Bhubaneswar: The city-based Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) centre issued thunderstorm/lightning and light rainfall with gusty wind speed alert for five districts of the state today.
“Moderate Thunderstorm/lightning and light rainfall with gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmp likely to occur at one or two places over some parts of the districts of Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Dhenkanal and Keonjar between 4 pm and 7 pm,” said the latest bulletin of the weatherman.
People in these districts have been cautioned to stay indoors and take shelter in buildings and other safe locations as a precautionary measure.
