Odisha reports 425 Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Bhubaneswar: A total of 425 Covid-19 positive cases including 71 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,38,836, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 425 positives, there are 249 quarantine cases and 176 local contact cases. The new recovery cases stands at 410, taking the total number of 10,25,917 Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,554.

Besides, the state pool has 45 new Covid positives.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of three COVID infected patients, taking the death toll to 8,309 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 76 years old Male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

2. A 60 years old Male of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Hypertension.

3. A 70 years old Male of Mayurbhanja District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Anemia, Gross Ascitis.
