Odisha: After 20 months classes in physical mode to commence from today for standard VIII

Bhubaneswar: After about 20 months finally classes in physical mode for Class VIII will commence from today. The classroom teaching will begin for all government, private and government fund aided Odia and English medium schools.

As per reports, the classes will begin at 9 am to continue till 12.30 pm. The students will come to the school by permission of their parents.

All the schools under the ST & SC Department will also go for class education for standard VIII from today. However, the VIII class students will not be provided with the mid day meal rather they will be given dry food.

Directive has been issued to commence classes abiding Covid restrictions. Hostels in the State will also open and will stick to the Covid guidelines. At the entrance of the school all students need to pass through thermal screening. Everybody need to wear mask. Also, they will wash hand with sanitizer. No student is bound to attend physical class. The online mode education will also continue.

The students and staff from containment zone areas have been barred to attend school. Since there was no classroom teaching for long days revision of the syllabus will be done. The VIII class students will be taught course of Class VI and VII for one hour. And they will be tested in regular intervals.
