Bhubaneswar: The state government today launched toll-free number 1800-345-1073 to sort out issues related to the implementation of the amended MV Act which came into effect from September 1.
Officials in the state Commerce and Transport department said that help desks have also been opened at Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the state to assist people.
“Booking of slots for driving licenses has been enhanced at RTOs to accommodate more applicants. Renewal of fitness certificates for passenger vehicles will be facilitated. Status of pollution testing centres are also being monitored at the state level,” said a police official.
