Odisha claims 66 Covid deaths in the last 24 hours, Khordha the highest

Bhubaneswar: A total of 66 COVID patients, who were under treatment in different COVID hospitals, died due to the deadly coronavirus, informed the Health & Family Welfare Department on Wednesday.

According to the Health Department, with the latest reports of 66 deaths, the toll due to coronavirus in the State rose to 6,168.

Khordha reported the highest Covid deaths at 18, followed by Cuttack (10), Puri (9), Mayurbhanj (6), Angul (5), Jharsuguda and Jajpur (3 each),  Bhadrak, Bolangir, Nayagarh ( 2 each), Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal. Kendrapara and Sundergarh ( 1 each).

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 32 years old Male of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Positive.

2. A 57 years old Male of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.

3. A 60 years old Female of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.

4. A 79 years old Male of Angul District.

5. A 39 years old Female of Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

6. A 65 years old Male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

7. A 74 years old Male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Hypertension.

8. A 55 years old Male of Bolangir District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

9. A 73 years old Male of Bolangir District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

10. A 36 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellilitus & Hypothyroidsim.

11. A 70 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Acute Kidney infection.
