Bhubaneswar: A total of 374 Covid-19 positive cases including 65 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,40,969, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Saturday.
Among the 374 positives, there are 218 quarantine cases and 156 local contact cases. However, 553 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,28,207.
Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,380.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of four COVID infected patients including one from Bhubaneswar, taking the death toll to 8,329 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:
1.A 55 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis.
2.A 51 years old Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Post Cardiac Arrest.
3.A 78 years old Male of Khordha District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
4.A 85 years old Male of Nayagarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
