Gajapati: A newly-married woman allegedly died after taking Covid-19 jab in Chandiput village under Mohana police limits of Gajapati district.
The deceased has been identified as Laxmi Achari, wife of Harishankar Prusty had received the first dose of Covid vaccine on Friday.
After taking Covid vaccine she fell ill and took medicine, informs Harishankar . Earlier Laxmi was on medication due to sleeplessness and joint pain.
On Saturday morning, when Laxmi did not wake up, Harishankar took him to the nearby hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
The doctors clarified that she did not die due to Covid-19 vaccine. The body has been sent for post-mortem and details can be said only after receiving the reports.
A case has been registered at Mohana Police station after Harishankar lodged a complaint.
The couple have been married for the past 4 months.
