Kalahandi: An abandoned baby girl was rescued at Maningpadar village under Bhawanipatna Sadar police limits here in the district on Monday.
The baby girl was found by a woman on the outskirts of the village this morning. It is being speculated that the baby girl has been abandoned by her parents.
Meanwhile, the baby has been admitted to the Kalahandi District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Bhawanipatna town for a preliminary health check-up.
The Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
