Musician and music teacher Sarada Prasanna Sahu passes away in Cuttack

Sahu’s music students have participated in popular singing reality TV shows like Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Cuttack: Musician and music teacher cum singer Sarada Prasanna Sahu passed away in Cuttack of Odisha on Saturday at the age of only 49 years. He was undergoing treatment for the last few days.

Late Sahu was a noted music director, singer, music teacher and instrumentalist. He was an avid keyboard player.

Sarada Prasanna has lent voice to a number of songs. Besides, here are some of the super hit devotional numbers for which he is the music director – ‘Hei Guru Tume Mangalamaya’, ‘Sai Tume Asibaki Mo Sunya Manamandire’, ‘To Dori Lagei De’ and ‘Maa’.

A vacuum has been created in the world of music in Odisha with his death that cannot be filled.

Sarada Prasanna Sahu is best known as a music teacher of repute. He has groomed many budding singers including children and youths. Reportedly, his music students have participated in popular singing reality TV shows like Indian Idol and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
