Miscreants loot over Rs 3.97 lakh from lady LAMPCS employee in Sundergarh

Rourkela: Throwing an open challenge to police unidentified miscreants snatched away over Rs 3.97 lakh from a woman employee of Kalunga Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) in Sundergarh district today.

The victim has been identified as Satyabhama Behera, Cashier, Kalunga LAMPCS.

The loot take place at around 10.10 am in the morning while the victim had gone to bring cash from the locker located inside the LAMPCS campus. A group of three bike-borne miscreants waylaid her at the gun point while returning with a bag containing over Rs 3.97 lakh and snatched it.

The victim failed to identify the looters are they were masked.

Brahmanitarang Police rushed to the spot after getting intimation on the loot later and lodged a case on the basis of the statement of the victim woman employee.

Efforts are underway to trace the absconding looters.
