Maoists set passenger bus on fire near Malkangiri in Andhra Pradesh

Malkangiri: The Maoists set a passenger bus on fire near Malkangiri border in Kutur of Andhra Pradesh late on Sunday night.

Reportedly, the bus was carrying around 40-50 passengers. The vehicle was en-route to Hyderabad from Odisha.

The Maoists intercepted the bus and asked the passengers to get off following which they torched the vehicle.

Till the last reports came in, no casualties were reported. On getting the information, the police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation.

Notably, the Maoists spotted the passenger bus travelling near Kutur during the time when Dandakaranya Division Maoist Organization was observing a strike.
