Bhubaneswar: A youth has hacked his brother-in-law to death in Bhubaneswar in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The deceased has been identified as Sushant Ghadei. He was working as a sweeper in Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport.
The incident took place in the Dhirakuta slum area under Mancheswar police limits.
Reportedly, a heated argument took place between the accused, Papuni Nayak, and deceased Sushant for some unknown reason. Following this, Papuni hacked Ghadei to death with the sword in an enraged state of mind.
Thereafter, Papuni has fled away from the crime spot. Meanwhile, Ghadei’s family immediately informed about the murder to the Mancheswar police station.
On getting the information, Mancheswar police have initiated a manhunt and conducted raids at various places to apprehend Papuni. The body has been sent for an autopsy procedure and a probe into the case is underway.
