Cuttack: Panic gripped the locals after a major fire broke out near the petrol pump in Phulnakhara of Cuttack district in Odisha on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the fire broke out at a dump yard located near the fuel station. As a result the complete area engulfed with dense smoke.
The panic stricken locals immediately informed the fire fighters. They were frightened that the fire may spread to the petrol pump which might have caused a fatal incident.
On being informed, the fire tenders arrived at the spot. They doused the flames before any major mishap could occur near the petrol pump.
