Intense heat wave continues in Odisha as Boudh boils at 45 degrees Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Intense heatwave continued across Odisha as 25 places in the State recorded maximum day temperature of 40 degrees Celsius or above today, informed the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Likewise, nine places of the State reported temperatures above 43 degrees Celsius or above. Similarly, 5 places witnessed 44 degrees Celsius temperature or above.

Boudh witnessed the highest day temperature of the State for the second consecutive day as it boiled at 45 degree Celsius today. Earlier yesterday too, the mercury had soared to 45 degree Celsius. This is the highest maximum day temperature this year in the State.
