Hitting the gym? Avoid these things to get better results

In today’s busy world, it has become a great challenge for the people to stay fit and healthy. We follow different ways and means to achieve this goal. Some of us even hit the gym where we do physical exercise to have a nice body and to look attractive at all times. However, irrespective of our present state at the gym of being an enthusiastic starter or a seasoned bodybuilder, there are some things we should stay away from at the gym.

Common Distractions: Maintain your focus to avoid injuries and get actual gains. Try to avoid bringing your mobile to the gym. Here you only focus on the weights and the coach.

Too Many Gadgets: Do not overindulge in complicated gadgets. Too many widgets will make you conscious and you won’t exercise hard enough. If serious muscle gain is your goal, ditch the gizmos.

Jumping To Bigger Weights: Gym injuries can be very serious. Trying to lift too heavy, too soon can cause tissue damage. It doesn’t make sense as it will only deter your ability to gain muscle.

Your Ego: Leave your ego at the entrance door of the gym and enter with a humble attitude. Coaches have a lot to offer but only if you are ready to listen.

Crowded Changing Rooms: Crowded changing rooms are a breeding ground for some of the most common skin infection, i.e. the bacterial and fungal type. Do not share your towel with others.

Experimenting Too Much: Experimenting too much just for the kick or to show-off can lead to a serious injury especially in the back, the neck and the shoulder that don’t heal easily.

Excessive Usage Of Machines: Machines reduce your range of motion and lead to more stress upon the body with minimal results. It’s best to use free weights as they engage the maximum number of muscles.

Getting Overzealous: Everybody has a different body and pace at which they gain muscle or lose fat. Obsessing about others’ improvements will only mess-up your mind, taking away your focus.
