Paradip: Commuters and staff were left in a state of panic after a goods train derailed near Atharbanki here on Thursday.
The mishap took place in the morning hours, on the freight carrier’s return from the Paradip Port following a coal unload activity.
As per the report, as many as 10 wagons of the train skidded off the track triggering a panic among the staffs who were present near the spot at that time. Howver, no casualty or damage was caused due to the mishap.
While Railway officials have reached the spot and launched restoration work, the cause behind the derailment is yet to be ascertained.
