Cuttack: In a shocking incident a woman was gang-raped inside an ATM unit located near College Chhak under Malgodown police limits in the city last night.
The incident came to light, after some locals found the victim from a field near Jobra area in critical condition this morning and rushed her to SCB Medical with the help of police for treatment.
As per the victim, at least two persons abducted him from the city and took to a deserted ATM unit located beside the Pilgrim Road near College Square last night. Later they outraged her modesty one by one with the help of the security guard of the ATM.
Meanwhile, based on the information given by the victim, the Malgodown Police has detained the security guard of the concerned ATM along with another accused for interrogation.
The incident has sparked sharp resentment among the locals in the city.
