Elephant Poaching: 2 forest officials suspended for dereliction in duty in Balasore

Balasore: Initiating action against the guilty officials in a recent elephant poaching incident in Tenda area under Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary, the Forest Department today suspended at least two staff and slapped show cause notice on another for dereliction in duty.

Those officials who have been suspended of his duty are, Forester Kishore Chandra Bhuyan and Forest Guard Lalmohan Singh. The show cause notice was slapped on Assistant Conservetor of Forest (ACF) Laxman Kumar Pradhan.

Notably, the carcass in news had been found on June 5 with tusks missing.

After forest officials rushed the body for autopsy, it was revealed that the cause of the death was poaching.
