Balasore: In yet another case of drunk driving in the State, driver of a SUV had a close shave after his vehicle rammed into a road divider near Fakir Mohan Golei Chhak in Balasore town last night.
The mishap took place late in the night while one Bikash Patra of Motiganj area was en-route to his home after work in a Tata Safari. He lost control over the wheels of the SUV due to drunk state and rash driving.
After the SUV hit a road divider and rode onto the same, Bikash sustained injuries inside the vehicle and remained trapped.
Some bystanders called up Sahadevkhunta Police for assistance and rescued him from the mangled SUV.
The injured driver has been admitted to Balasore DHH for treatment.
