Keonjhar: Three individuals were arrested on Tuesday on charges of the double murder of an elderly couple at Kasada here. They had unsympathetically killed them and then threw the bodies in a nearby well. The bodies were recovered in the presence of the Magistrate.
The elderly couple, belonging to Kasada village, had been at a nearby crusher on January 13. In their absence, the three accused sneaked into their house and stole a sack of rice and all of the available cash.
Infuriated at the couple informing the locals, the three accused went ahead and murdered the couple and then threw their bodies in a well.
Kasada police took swift action and arrested the three accused.
