Deogarh police felicitates Good Samaritans for helping to rescue kidnapped minor girl

It is to be noted here that two miscreants reportedly kidnapped a 6-year-old girl named Pihu Agarwal from her grandmother’s arms in Deogarh Town on December 18.

Deogarh: Deogarh police reportedly felicitated two Good Samaritans for helping the cops to rescue minor girl who was kidnapped last month. Kumuda Sethi and Laxmee Kant Mishra were the two persons whom the district police felicitated for their exemplarily work.

It is to be noted here that two miscreants reportedly kidnapped a 6-year-old girl named Pihu Agarwal from her grandmother’s arms in Deogarh Town on December 18.

After kidnapping of the minor girl, the accused persons took her to the Hotel Parvati Residency in Sundergarh for night stay. On arrival in the hotel at the reception, Kumuda Sethi asked them to produce ID proof but they denied. On this, Kumuda Sethi straight away refused them to provide a room at the Hotel.

Since the news about the kidnapping of the minor girl was circulated in the news and social media by that time and from the behaviour of the accused persons, Kumuda Sethi suspected them and informed Deogarh Police immediately.

Soon after the kidnapping of the minor girl, the police teams of Deogarh district and other neighbouring police districts came into action immediately.  Finding no other way, the kidnappers had to drop the minor victim under Bhoipali flyover of Sundergarh district and fled away from the spot.

By hearing the crying sound of the minor victim, Laxmee Kant Mishra came out of his house and rescued her and informed the police.

Due to the Good Samaritan works of both Kumuda Sethi and Laxmee Kant Mishra, the minor girl could be rescued safely and the police felicitated them today. Each of them was given a cash rewarded of Rs 5000 appreciation letter.
