Berhampur: In a success to Ganjam Police, it foiled a dacoity plan and arrested at least five members of a dacoit gang after conducting a raid in Haladiapada in Ganjam district today.
As per the report, Gosani Nuagaon Police carried out the raid on the hideout of the gang this morning, acting upon a tip-off which was received earlier.
During the raid, the cops found the gang hatching a robbery plan and took them into custody. They also seized a number of pistols, live bullets, other explosives and a bike from the possession of the held persons.
Police have registered a case in the incident and started investigation.
