DA Case: 2 government officials in Vigilance net in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: Kalahandi Vigilance unit conducted simultaneous raids on the offices and residences of at least two officials in the district on Monday for amassing assets disproportionate to their known source of income.

As per the report, a team of anti-corruption bureau officials led by Bhawanipatna Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda raided the house and a ash bricks factory of Soil Conservation Overseer of both Narla and Madanpur Rampur Pitabas Mahakud located at Sripali village this morning and verified various documents. Later the team went on to conduct searches at a three-storied building owned by Mahakud at Paikpada, his daughter’s residence at M. Rampur along with both offices located Narla and M. Rampur.

A separate Vigilance team conducted a simultaneous raid at Kesinga block Assistant Engineer Basudev Moharana in DA case also in the same morning. It conducted searches at the residence of Moharana located in the Irrigation Colony of Bhawanipatna town, paternal house at Paikapada, his father-in-law’s house at Junagarh, a three-storied building and two duplexes at M. Rampur along with his office chamber at Kesinga.

The raid was underway till the filing of this report.

Details are awaited in the case.
