COVID19 outbreak in Odisha: Govt advises West Bengal returnees to come forward for testing
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Friday requested people who have returned from West Bengal recently not to hide rather to come forward for the COVID19 testing.
The State Health and Family Welfare Department, in a Twitter post said that all the West Bengal returnees must come forward for testing as they may seem healthy yet could be infected and also spread infection. Testing is free, it added.
This apart, the department advised them to contact their respective Block Development Officer (BDO)/Tahasildar/Sarpanch and remain isolated at home.

It is worthwhile to mention here that most of the COVID19 cases reported in the State till date have the West Bengal link. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also had stated that it has become a new challenge for his government.
The Health Department also said that as the helpline no 104 is functional round the clock, persons having flu like symptoms are advised to call for medical advice.
