Covid Vaccination Drive Completely Stopped In These Three Districts Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Vaccination drive has been completely stopped in three districts of Odisha due to shortage of vaccines.

The three districts are Koraput, Nuapada and Jharsuguda, as well as the urban areas of the 10 districts are Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri, has been stopped due to the non-availability of vaccines, informed Health and Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi to the media.

The vaccination drive is underway at 427 session sites and out of 1500 centres , 1073 have been closed due to the shortage of Covid vaccines, added Bijay Panigrahi.

The health director further informed the state currently has a stock of 3.6 lakh doses of Covishield and 2.3 lakh doses of Covaxin vaccines and these will be exhausted in two to three days.

We have been continously writing letters to the Centre regarding the shortage of Covid Vaccines in the state.
