CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Ganjam, Khordha districts today

Khallikote/Khordha: As a part of his whirlwind tour to different districts across the state in past few months, CM Naveen Patanik will launch a slew of projects in Ganjam and Khordha district today which includes much awaited Janibili water supply project.

As per a CMO communique, the CM will land at the temporary helipad set up at the City High School ground in Berhampur at around 11 am and head to Khallikote College stadium where he will launch the Janibili-Berhampur piped water supply project being set up at a project cost of Rs 372 cr.

While only the first phase inauguration of the Janibili project will be held today, it will cater to the drinking water need of 1, 14,000 people initially. Residents of at least 53 nearby villages will be profited once the project is completed.

Later, the CM will inaugurated projects worth Rs 18 cr and lay foundation stones for several others to be set up at a budget of Rs 30 cr and address a massive gathering at the venue.

At around 12.20 pm, Naveen will arrive at the Mukunda Prasad ground and attend a Mission Shakti Conclave. He would hand over monetary assistance to various Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the programme.
