Kendrapara: In a tragic incident, a class X girl student was charred to death when a major fire broke out in her house at Baunsamula village under Rajanagar police limits of the district today.
According to sources, a fire, reason of which is yet to be known, broke out inside the thatched house of Priynasmita Roul, a student of Savitri Devi High School, while she was in the house at around 12.30 pm. The impact of the inferno was so severe that it engulfed the entire house within no time, following which Priyasmita was charred to death on the spot before the locals swung into action.
Rajanagar police and fire personnel reached the spot after getting information about the fire and recovered Priyasmita’s body.
Police have also started an investigation into the matter.
