Bhawanipatna: In yet another report of minor girl rape case in the state, a Class-VI student has been allegedly held captive and sexually assaulted for two days by his brother-in-law in Thuamul Rampur area in Kalahandi district.
Police have arrested the accused in the incident and he has been identified as Munna Naik, a resident of Dumerpadar village.
As per a complaint filed by the victim’s family members at the Thuamul Rampur police station last night, the girl went missing on 8 PM on April 17 while returning from a function held at her uncle’s house in Dumerpadar village. She had been abducted by Munna, who took her to his home and kept locked up in a room. The accused raped her repeatedly for two days before releasing yesterday.
Police have conducted the medical examination of both the accused and the victim and probing the case.
The victim’s family has demanded stringent punishment for the accused.
