Kalahandi: Tension ran high in Dumermunda village under Kalampur block in the district on Saturday after some unidentified miscreants killed a Class 10 boy by crushing his head over unknown reason.
The deceased has been identified as Kailash Majhi (17), son of Satya Narayan Majhi of Pani village.
Satya who studied in Swami Vivekanand High School set out on a morning walk in the wee hours today is suspected to have been attacked by the miscreants on his way. His body was found lying in a farmland with critical head injury.
Jaipatna police has reached the spot and started an investigation after seizing the body for autopsy.
