Brown Sugar Worth Rs 60 Lakh, Cash Seized In Odisha, 2 Arrested

Bhubaneswar: As much as 528 grams of brown sugar has been seized from two persons involved in an alleged drug peddling in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off the police conducted a raid and recovered 582 gram brown sugar worth Rs. 60 lakhs. They also seized two mobile phones and some cash.

Two drug peddlers have been held in this connection.

“We’ll continue the crackdown on drug trafficking in State. A case has been registered,” said Soumendra Priyadarshi, Bhubaneshwar CP
