BJP youth wing to gherao Odisha Assembly on Feb 7

Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its campaign against the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha ahead of the election this year, the youth wing of BJP will gherao the State Assembly demanding jobs for educated unemployed on February 7.

At a press conference in the city today, the BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) made the announcement and claimed that the Odisha Government is not serious in creating more jobs for the unemployed youths of the state creating hindrances on the way of Central Government in employment generation for political goals.

“The youths who had voted the Naveen Government to power 19 years ago in 2000 and empty handed now. There is a big disappointment among the youths of the state over joblessness during the BJD rule. We appeal all educated unemployed youths of Odisha to join us on the Assembly gherao for the cause,” said BJYM President Tankadhar Tripathy.

Mentioning about NTPC expansion, Chandikhole reservoir, coastal highway and railway construction in his address Tripathy alleged that these Central projects with good employment generation capability is being halted by Odisha Government over vested interest.
