BJP observes 6-hour Sundergarh bandh today against CDMO In-Charge’s suspension

Sundergarh: A day after Sundergarh Collector suspended CDMO In-Charge Pankaj Patel from his duties, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed a 6-hour bandh in the town today demanding the revocation of the order.

The saffron party activists carried out a bike-rally through Sundergarh town during the bandh which started at 6 am and will continue till 12 noon.

While educational institutions were kept out of the ambit of the bandh, the vehicular movement remained normal during the protests. However, government offices and shops remained closed.

BJP is alleging that the Sundergarh DHH is reeling under staff crunch and other infrastructure issues which are yet to be addressed but instead of solving that the State Government prioritised to take action against the CDMO In-Charge in a hurry.

Notably, Patel was put under suspension yesterday followed by Odisha Government’s 5Ts Secretary VK Pandian’s visit to the DHH. During his inspection people alleged that the hospital is not implementing ‘Mo Sarkar’ program properly.
