BJB College girl student’s death: Purported suicide note recovered, victim claims harassment by seniors

Bhubaneswar: A purported suicide note has been recovered from the room of the Plus Three girl student who was found dead inside the girls’ hostel of BJB College here today.

In the purported suicide note, the victim who has been identified as Ruchika Mohanty, a first-year student of Plus 3 Arts Stream, alleged that she was ending her life after being fed up with harassment by three of her senior girl students.

Though Ruchika has not mentioned the names of the three accused girls in the suicide note, she alleged that she was always remaining under severe mental pressure due to the harassment by the seniors which is why she took the extreme step today.

Meanwhile, the Badagada police has started a probe into the matter. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem.
