Bhubaneswar bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing at Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: A Bhubaneswar bound IndiGo flight from New Delhi was diverted to Kolkata airport due to prevailing bad weather condition here this afternoon.

The IndiGo flight (6E221) which had taken off from New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport at 4 pm and was scheduled to arrive at the Odisha capital at 6 pm.

Soon after the plane reached at Kolkata airport the passengers twitted about their safety and thanked the air traffic control for its timely step.

The emergency landing was carried out swiftly and all passengers were safe, informed sources at the Kolkata airport.

Notably, the IMD Bhubaneswar centre had predicted Nor’wester rain for six districts of Odisha in next 24 hours earlier.
