Another Cheating Case Against Odisha Fake ‘Doctor’ Ramesh Swain

Bhubaneswar: Yet another cheating case has come to the fore against fake doctor Ramesh Swain a day after he was again taken into remand for three days.

Reportedly, a chicken grain trader has alleged that Ramesh has defrauded Rs. 38,500.

The trader, identified as Rakesh Behera, has alleged that almost 13 months ago Ramesh and his stepbrother had bought grain worth Rs 38,500 without paying the amount.

Earlier, Ramesh had sent a check to the trader. However, the check bounced while producing the check for payment.

It has been learnt that Rs 540 was also deducted from Ramesh’s bank account.

Rakesh has lodged a complaint with the Patakura police station against fraudster Ramesh Swain. Ramesh has also allegedly duped Rs 4 lakh from a businessman of Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.

It is to be noted that earlier on Friday, the Court of SDJM Bhubaneswar granted a police remand of three more days for the fake doctor Ramesh Swain who has allegedly duped multiple women after marrying them. Prior to that, the court had allowed the police five-day remand of Swain who is facing charges of fraud.

Swain was arrested by Mahila police after one of his former wives alerted the cops about his presence in Bhubaneswar.
