Amit Shah to visit Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: BJP national President Amit Shah will come to Odisha today to take stock of the organisational work he had assigned to the state unit of the party during his last visit.

Apart from reviewing the organisational works with state office-bearers of the party, Shah will have separate meetings with Presidents of all frontal organisations, district prabharis of 36 organisational districts, MLAs, MPs, ex-MLAs, ex- MPs, vistaraks (propagators) and prominent functionaries of the Sangh Parivar.

The President of the saffron party will also discuss on the reports collected from the booth level committees and chalk out strategies for strengthening the committees further.

Shah will address a meeting of Shakti Kendra Pramukhs (poll booth in-charges of gram panchayats) of three parliamentary constituencies comprising 21 Assembly segments of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. Around 3000 Shakti Kandra Pramuks and Saha Pramukhs of the three districts are slated to attend the meeting.
This will be the second visit of Shah to the state this year and ninth since the NDA came to power at the Centre.
Notably, Shah had set a target to win more than 120 out of 147 seats in the State Assembly in 2019 elections.
