6 cattle burnt alive in a house fire in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: At least six cattle were burnt alive in a house fire which broke out in Brahmanigaon area under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district last night.

As per the report, sparks erupted at one Abhiram Sethi’s house in the village late in the night while all his family members were asleep. Till Sethi came to know about the blaze and launched firefighting efforts it had completely engulfed a cattle shed located adjacent to the house.

At least 1 cow and five goats were charred to death till the flames were brought under control.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, no loss of other valuable property has been reported in the mishap.

Police have reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
