Rajgangpur: In a shocking incident, at least four members of a family including two children were found dead from a house in mysterious conditions in IT Colony, Rajgangpur in Sundergarh district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Ranjit Prasad, his wife Kalpana Prasad, 3-year-old daughter Kanak and one-and-half-year-old son.
As per the report, Ranjit whose house was locked from inside since Thursday emanated foul odour this morning post which some neighbours called up Rajgangpur Police and informed.
After police reached the spot and broke the locks of the door in the presence of a magistrate and scientific team, the partially decomposed bodies of the four were recovered.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for an autopsy of late.
It is learnt that Ranjit had taken one Pramod Rout’s house on rent and was staying there for the past four months.
