3 women killed in two separate road accidents in Odisha

Nayagarh/Puri: Two women have been killed in a road accident on National Highway 57 at Sampada village under Nuagaon police limits in Nayagarh district this morning. The deceased have been identified as Surbala Parida and Mansi Martha.

Reportedly, one TATA AC car collided against four people on the NH and fled away from the spot. As a result, Surbala and Mansi lost their lives on the spot while two others were rushed to  District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in a critical condition by the local youths.

Later, the two injured were shifted to Bhubaneswar hospital for adavance medical treatment. On getting the information the local police arrived at the spot and have initiated a probe into the matter.

Meanwhile in a similar incident, one woman has been killed while four others are critically injured in a head-on collision between auto-rickshaw and Tavera car near Konark-Puri marine drive road today. The car was travelling towards Konark from Puri when it collided head on with the auto-rickshaw.

On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and rushed the injured to local hospital. Maheshwar Mohanty and Prakash Kumar Behera of Chhaitana along with two other critically injured people have been admitted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Puri.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been identified. The cops have initiated an investigation into the matter.
