3-Tier Security Cover For Monsoon Session Of Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has put in place a three-tier security cover in and around the Odisha Assembly in view of the Monsoon Session.

The Session is scheduled to begin from July 2. The Session will continue till August 4.

The Police Commissioner, Intelligence Director, DIG and the city DCP reviewed the security arrangements ahead of the commencement of the Monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly.

It is noteworthy that, a three-tier security cover will set up in and around the Odisha Assembly.  This will include 30 platoons of police force which shall be deployed at strategic locations.

The upcoming Monsoon session of Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin from July 2. This will continue till August 4.

As per the official notification issued by the State Legislative Assembly, Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari is slated to present the State Budget for the year 2022-23 on the first day of the session (on July 2).

The schedule of the Monsoon session revealed that the members of the House will hold a discussion on the budget on July 5 and 6. July 13 will be the working day in which the reports of departmentally related standing committees will be presented.

The tenth session of the sixteenth Assembly will have 24 working days and 10 ‘No Meeting Days,’ which includes July 3 (Sunday), from July 7 (Thursday) to July 12 (Tuesday), July 17 (Sunday), July 24 (Sunday) and July 31 (Sunday).
It is to be noted here that earlier the Vote-On-Account for four months was presented till July.
